Individual Counseling
At Harmony Counseling Network, I offer individual therapy that honors your lived experience, helps you unpack emotional weight, and supports you in building a life that feels aligned with your values, your relationships, and your truth.
I often work with women, teens, and emerging adults navigating the complex layers of life, love, identity, and ambition.
Many of my clients are high-achieving women, leaders, creatives, and nurturers holding it down at home, at work, and in relationships while quietly feeling the emotional toll of it all.
They’re professionals in education, healthcare, finance, pharmaceutical industry, and technology. From the outside, it looks like they’re thriving.
On the inside, they’re wondering: Who’s holding space for me while I hold it all together?
They’re balancing motherhood, relationships, trauma recovery, generational expectations, and unspoken grief.
They’re craving peace, clarity, and space to feel without being told to "be strong."
And I get it because I’ve lived it too.
How I Show Up
I bring both heart and mind to my work- deep clinical knowledge, cultural sensitivity, and a grounded, compassionate presence.
I’ve always been someone who leans into life’s deeper questions:
What does it mean to feel safe—in your body, in your relationships, in the world?
How do we rewrite narratives shaped by trauma, pressure, or silence?
What does real love, freedom, and rest actually look like?
Therapy, for me, is both science and a sacred space. I use evidence-based tools rooted in psychology, but I never lose sight of the human being sitting in front of me. The space we share is built on trust, honesty, and deep compassion.
My clients often tell me, “This is the first time I’ve felt fully seen.” That’s not by accident it’s by design. I create a space where you don’t have to explain your identity, translate your experience, or minimize your truth.
The people I work with? They’re not that different from me. I’ve had to do the same healing work-unlearning, relearning, and making peace with parts of myself I once tried to hide.
I believe in therapy that feels real, relevant, and rooted in you. And I’m here to walk alongside you as you make your way back to yourself.
I’m Not Just A Therapist… I’m a Whole Person, Too.
It’s important to me that my clients don’t just see me as an expert, they see me as human. I bring both my professional training and my lived experience into the room. I know what it’s like to do deep, uncomfortable, life-changing inner work. I know what it feels like to question everything and still choose to keep going.
So when you show up unsure, scared, tired, or ready to break cycles, I’m not looking at you through a clinical lens alone. I’m walking beside you, holding space for your growth, your mess, your breakthroughs, and your softness.
This work can stretch you. But I’ll be there every step of the way—guiding, challenging, affirming, and reminding you: you’re not doing this alone.
What To Expect From Your First Therapy Session
-
If this is your first time in therapy—or your first time in a long time—it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. The first session is all about creating a space where you feel heard, seen, and supported. You’ll get a feel for who I am, how I work, and you’re welcome to ask questions at any point.
-
This is your space, and there’s no “right” way to show up. You can share as much or as little as you’d like. We’ll explore what’s working in your life, what’s feeling heavy, and what you want to gain from our work together—whether it’s peace, clarity, emotional freedom, or all of the above.
-
We’ll walk through important parts of your background, relationships, and experiences so I can begin understanding the full picture. Your history helps shape your healing path, and my role is to help make connections, not assumptions.
-
After the intake session, you’ll have space to reflect. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll talk about next steps, set up your ongoing sessions, and begin creating a personalized plan that supports your growth—at your pace, in your rhythm.
Individual Therapy in Indiana
with Elvery Tinsley, LMHCA – Relationship Wellness Expert
My approach to therapy is rooted in both science and soul. I draw from evidence-based modalities that support real, lasting change while honoring the lived experiences of women, couples, and emerging adults.
In individual therapy, I integrate:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): To help you shift unhelpful thought patterns and make empowered choices.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): To support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and boundary setting.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): To explore how attachment and past relationships impact your present.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To help you move through hard emotions without getting stuck in them.
Mindfulness & Somatic Practices: To root you in the present and reconnect you to your body’s wisdom.
In practice, this means we’ll work to understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behavior—while creating new patterns that align with the life you actually want. It’s not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you feel emotionally safe and fully in charge of your healing.
Per my licensure in the state of Indiana, I provide therapy to clients who are Indiana residents.
In-Person Sessions: Available in Indianapolis area
50 Mins -$135 | 90 mins -$200
Virtual Sessions: Offered statewide via secure HIPAA-compliant platforms
Payment is due at the time of service. I do not accept insurance, but I do provide superbills for clients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
