Pre-Marital Counseling

Build the Marriage You Want Before You Say I Do!

Love brought you together. But love alone doesn’t build a lasting marriage.

Premarital counseling is about building a strong foundation before the hard stuff hits. It’s for couples who want to be proactive not reactive and create a marriage that’s rooted in clarity, emotional safety, and shared purpose.

At Harmony Counseling Network, I offer culturally affirming premarital counseling for couples ready to enter marriage with intention, tools, and truth.

Premarital counseling isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about building something strong from the start.

I work with couples who love each other deeply and want more than just a wedding—they want a marriage that lasts.

Some come to work through differences before they become roadblocks. Others simply want to prepare, protect, and align. No matter where you’re starting, this is your space to lay the groundwork for a relationship built on truth, trust, and real connection.

Premarital Counseling offers:

  • Clarity Before Commitment: Get real about values, expectations, and your vision for marriage

  • Conflict Skills: Learn how to navigate differences with empathy, not defensiveness

  • Communication Tools: Discover how to speak and truly listen to one another

  • Intimacy & Emotional Safety: Explore connection beyond physical touch

  • Boundaries & Family Roles: Address finances, roles, family dynamics, and future goals

  • Spiritual & Cultural Alignment: Honor your identity, beliefs, and shared legacy

What To Expect From Your First Therapy Session

  • In your first session, we’ll slow things down. You don’t need to show up perfect, you just need to be real. This is your space to share what brings you to premarital counseling, what you’re excited about, and what you may be uncertain or nervous to talk about.

  • We’ll talk about how your relationship started, what you’ve learned about each other, and the strengths you bring into the partnership. We’ll also begin identifying areas where support or deeper alignment might be helpful.

  • You’ll each have a chance to voice what you want out of this experience, individually and as a couple. Whether it's better communication, emotional safety, spiritual unity, or long-term clarity, we’ll name it and build toward it.

  • We’ll use this first session to set the tone and direction for your journey together. You’ll leave with clarity on what to expect, what’s coming next, and how to make the most of this investment in your future.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
